Our faculty member Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Fahri Alkan was among the scientists who will be supported within the framework of 2022 joint call between the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Within the scope of this project, the research groups of Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Fahri Alkan from AGÜ and Prof. Dr. Di Sun from Shandong University will investigate the electronic, structural and catalytic properties of novel silver clusters protected by all-inorganic ligands. The joint project will be supported for 3 years with a total budget of approximately 5 million TL. With this project, researchers aim to advance our current knowledge and structure library in cluster chemistry while providing a fundamental understanding for structure-activity relationships and reaction mechanisms for catalysis applications of atomically precise clusters.
